Julio Manuel Rivera de los Reyes is a partner of Ríos Ferrer, Guillen Llarena, Treviño, Rivera y Gutiérrez, S.C. with more than 40 years of experience in transactional, corporate law, foreign investment, property/real estate and infrastructure transactions, mergers, acquisitions, franchises, energy, natural resources, financial and securities, regulatory and administrative law, compliance and anti-corruption.

Key advisor in the design of strategies and transactional matters involving foreign investment, international and double taxation treaties, franchises, mergers and acquisitions, with important components of regulatory law, antitrust, environmental law and agrarian law.

He regularly advises clients on property projects and major infrastructure developments and construction projects in Mexico. . Advisor in the implementation and solution of agrarian issues, such as conversion of common land to private property for investment, including financing, development, construction, commercialization and creation of mixed-use property trusts.

  • He advised Cinemark Holdings in Mexico, a company acquired by Cinemex with more than 290 movie theaters in the country, highlighting its participation in the sale and economic competition.
  • He has advised several investment and corporate operations of IsoCindu company, an Italian-Venezuelan joint-venture dedicated to the manufacture of insulating panels for residential, industrial, commercial, agricultural, livestock and refrigeration buildings.
  • He advised Simon Property, a leading company in the commercial real estate industry in North America, Europe and Asia, in the development, construction, opening and operation of the "Premium Outlet Punta Norte" and "Premium Outlet Querétaro" shopping outlets, the largest in Latin America.
  • He advised Inmobiliaria Amigos del Caribe, a hotel company in the acquisition and operation of hotels and tourist properties in the Riviera Maya.
  • He advised Posadas de Mexico, a hotel chain in Mexico, as Secretary of the Board of SINCA.
  • He acted as Independent Advisor to Grupo Bursátil Mexicano ("GBM"), Casa de Bolsa (brokerage firm), with more than 35 years of operation and presence in Mexico, Brazil, the United States and Chile.
  • He advised on the construction and operation of the Azcapotzalco Transfer Station and Sorting Plant in Mexico City, as a result of a public bidding process.
  • He advised Ecosistema de Ciudad Lerdo, S.A. de C.V., in the provision of services and holder of the concession of an important water treatment plant in Ciudad Lerdo, Durango, Mexico, derived from a public bidding process.
