Academic Background


Mr. David Valladolid holds a law degree with honors from Universidad La Salle Mexico ("La Salle").

He has a specialization in Amparo Law from the Universidad Panamericana ("UP"), where he is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Administrative Law.

He has a Master's Degree in Constitutional Procedural Law by the Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Law (Instituto de Estudios Superiores en Derecho Penal “INDEPAC”) and the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados “BMA”).

He has a diploma in Economic Competition and Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México ("ITAM").

In addition, he completed a course in Argumentation and Persuasion at UP and another in Legal Writing at La Salle.

Professional Experience

  • Professionally, he has more than 9 years of experience in administrative litigation and amparo.
  • In the last 7 years, he has focused on litigation in the area of amparo against resolutions of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (“IFT”), as well as against different acts of federal and local administrative authorities related to telecommunications and economic competition matters.
  • He is experienced in the processing of landline and mobile network interconnection disputes before the IFT, as well as in challenging resolutions issued by such autonomous constitutional body through the indirect amparo proceeding.
  • In addition, Mr. David Valladolid was an advisor to the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation for the processing of administrative litigation procedures (2012-2013).
  • He was the legal coordinator of the company Techint, S.A. de C.V. for the release of the right of way for the Ethane Transportation System Project (2013 and 2014).
  • Recently, he was part of the external advisory group of the IFT for the supervision and verification of the asymmetric measures imposed on the Preponderant Economic Agent in the broadcasting sector (2017-2018).
  • In addition, prior to the constitutional reform of human rights in 2011, he held the position of administrative officer in the Sixth District Court on Administrative Matters in Mexico City, where he was responsible for the admissions of claims, processing and draft of incidental resolutions. In this regard, Mr. David Valladolid is highly experienced in amparo matters.

Additionally, in the academic field, he has been a guest lecturer and professor of "Professional Secrecy", "Introduction to Telecommunications Law", "Economic Competition" and "The General Declaration of Unconstitutionality in the telecommunications sector", at the Law Schools of Universidad La Salle; Universidad Anáhuac, North campus and Universidad Pontificia de México.

He was a professor of Constitutional Law in the Inter-American School of Litigation of the Inter-American Bar Association.

Currently, he is a professor of Amparo Proceedings at the Universidad Pontificia de México.
